Four Vehicle Accident Near Egg Harbor

The Door County Sheriff’s Department has released the accident report for a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 42, near Hillside Road in the town of Egg Harbor Wednesday afternoon that left 3 people injured. The injury toll could have been worse, there were a dozen people in the four vehicles involved. According to the accident report, a car driven by Joanna Estrada of Sturgeon bay was heading south on Highway 42, hear the Egg Harbor Fun Park, when it struck a Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 40 year-old Jodi Eldred of Sturgeon Bay from behind. Eldred had his left turn signal on, intending to turn into the amusement park. A northbound van, driven by 61 year-old Randall Kasten of Fish Creek, then collided with the Eldred vehicle, causing it to flip onto its side. Kasten’s van then continued on and struck a car driven by 48 year-old Rodney Kress of Kewaunee, stopped at the entrance to the Egg Harbor Fun Park. Eldred was transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center for treatment of an incapacitating injury. Estrada, who indicated she was not aware that Eldred was stopped with his turn signal on, was ticketed for inattentive driving.
