First Ship Arrives in Sturgeon Bay for Layup

The 1,000 foot Stewart J. Cort is the first ship to arrive at Bay Shipbuilding for winter layup. The Cort came in from Lake Michigan early Friday afternoon, & brought with it three rather long bridge openings. In all, fourteen ships are expected to be in Sturgeon Bay for the winter layup this year. The last is due February 5th for the Joseph Block, otherwise the bulk of the ships will be in by the middle of January.
