The final pass of the fall leaf collection program in Sturgeon Bay is set for this week, weather permitting. During the final week of collection, public works department crews will make one last pass pass through each neighborhood. They will not be able to return. Much of the collection process is weather dependent and, if the leaves are wet or freeze, they take longer to vacuum. And, keep in mind that it is very difficult to determine an exact date when street crews will pass through a given neighborhood. Other things to remember, don’t bag leaves, keep brush and garden waste out of the leaf pile, don’t rake leaves into the street, and us the city compost site off Division Road for brush and garden waste. If you have any questions, call the Sturgeon Bay Public Works Department at 746-2912, Monday through Friday, between 7AM and 3:30PM.
