Egg Harbor Road, which was opened for the weekend, will be closed again this week. According to the update provided by Sturgeon Bay City Engineer Tony Depies, the closure through Friday is to allow for final grading & the installation of curb & gutter. All shops on Egg Harbor Road will be accessible from 12th Avenue during the closure. If possible, Egg Harbor Road will reopen as a gravel road until paving is completed in mid August. Depies also says sidewalk will be installed based on approved plans, the Pizza Hut sign will be relocated, & the driveway access to the Pizza Hut & the Wine Cellar will be roughed in. Prep work for paving will require the closure of Egg Harbor Road for one day. The exact day hasn’t been scheduled yet, but it should be around August 16th. All of the stores at the Corner Depot will remain open through the construction period.
