Egg Harbor Road Construction Information Meeting

In the srping of 2020, the Village of Egg Harbor received a $1 million grant through the Local Improvement Program of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. This will help to fund their “Church Street Project” which will increase designated parking, create new sidewalks & street lighting, and add bike lanes to the popular road through the middle of the village. During a recent village board meeting, they decided the project will begin this fall after the village’s Pumpkin Patch Festival in October. This construction will run until its completion in August of 2022. Then in the fall of 2022, the Highway 42 construction project through the village will begin. On this August 2nd and 3rd, the village will be hosting 2 public information meetings at the Kress Pavilion to review and discuss the Highway 42 project. These meetings will include information on how construction will impact homes, businesses, and real estate taxes. Village staff, elected officials, committee members and village consultants will provide updates on the project and answer questions from community members. August 2nd, the meeting will start at 6:00 pm, and on August 3rd it will start at 9:00 am, both at the Kress Pavilion. Afterwards, a recording of the meetings and more information will be available on the village website, “villageofeggharbor.org”.
