Drug Bust Leads to Four Arrests

Four people were taken into custody in Door & Kewaunee Counties late last week in connection with a three month investigation into drug trafficking. Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says the county Special Weapons & Tactics (swat) team joined members of the Door/Kewaunee Drug Task Force in executing a search warrant at a home in the Town of Gibraltar. Investigators arrested two occupants in the home & recovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, firearms & several hundred dollars in cash. Forty seven year old Sandra Peterson of Fish Creek was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, delivery of cocaine & schedule two narcotics, & maintaining a drug house. Paul Peterson, 49, of New York City, was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants.

In Sturgeon Bay, 28-year old Joshua Peterson of Fish Creek was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, delivery of marijuana, maintaining a drug house, bail jumping, & being A felon in possession of firearms.

Fifty six year old Kenneth Short was taken into custody in Algoma on charges of conspiracy to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana & drunken driving.

Officers seized three vehicles allegedly used in the commission of drug crimes in Door & Kewaunee Counties. The investigation is continuing in the two counties with additional arrests expected. Sheriff Vogel commended the work of the officers involved in the investigation including his deputies, Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar & Algoma Police Departments & the Wisconsin State Patrol’s K9 unit.
