Draeb’s History On Sunday

For 102 years, customers at Draeb Jewelers in Sturgeon Bay were served by men named George and Bill. The story of the Draeb family business will be the subject of a program Sunday at 2pm at the Historical Village at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. In the presentation, George Draeb will describe how the business, now located at 50 North 3rd Avenue, was founded by his grandfather in 1910. The family tradition continued through the founder’s son, Bill, before being handed to George, whose son, Bill, now is the 4th generation of the family to sell and repair quality jewelry. The program will include displays, artifacts and family history. The presentation is free and open to the public.
