The Green Bay office of the DOT says work on a stretch of Highway 42, from Sturgeon Bay to Egg Harbor, will commence on Wednesday. The purpose of the project is to install rumble strips along the 16 mile stretch of roadway. The strips warn drivers the they drifted out of the travel lane through noise and vibration. The road will remain open to traffic during construction with single lane closures and flagging operations. There is the potential for backups. Motorists are reminded to remain alert when driving through this or any other work zones.
