The Door County YMCA is celebrating it’s silver anniversary this week. The organization which began it’s life in a building that no longer exists, now boasts a second program center in Fish Creek, an aquatic center that is arguably second to none & a future that seems bright. The late Hartley Barker & his wife, Ruth, played a significant role in helping the YMCA to grow over the years. The tree planting ceremony will be held at 11AM Friday morning at the Fish Creek program center. There will also be live music & bounce houses for the kids at the Door County YMCA’s 25th anniversary celebration Thursday in Sturgeon Bay.
