Door County Sheriff’s Department Investigates Burglaries

The Door County Sheriff’s Department is investigating reports of several break-ins to businesses in Southern Door County within the last couple of weeks. The intruder or intruders got away with very little in monetary value, but there will be repair costs to deal with. After several attempts, a business in Brussels was entered. The investigating officer found a back door & a window damaged. It will cost $535 to fix the damage.

About $300 in damage was done to a small building at a Town of Union business in late November. Again, nothing appears to have been stolen.

About $8 cash is missing from a Brussels area firm following a forced entry to the business. It appeared that the burglar tried multiple routes to get inside before forcing open the front door. No dollar estimate for the damage was included in the police report.
