Door County Investigator to Take Job With Brown County

Door County Sheriff’s Department investigator Jim Valley is moving on to a new position in Green Bay. His last day on the job is February 3rd. Valley, who is 38, has been a Door County Deputy since May of 1999. He has gained a nationwide reputation in recent years by successfully organizing multi-county stings targeted at online sexual predators. Those law enforcement operations have led to the arrest of multiple individuals locally, in Wisconsin & in other states. Valley will continue to use his computer expertise as a Lieutenant in the Brown County Sheriff’s Department’s & maintain a working relationship with the Door County Sheriff’s Department in connection with regional investigations into internet crimes against children. He will continue to reside in Door County.
