The Door County Highway Department says current weather conditions have moved up the beginning of the 2012 road construction season. As a matter of fact, the reconstruction and alignment of County Trunk “Y”, or Duvall Road, in the Town of Union has started. At this point, the section of road, from County Line Road northerly for 1/2 a mile will be closed to through traffic as the current road bed is removed and relocated, with the closure beginning on Monday (03-12-12) at 9am. Access to the cemetery and homes on that road will be only from the north, off of county “Y”.
The Door County Highway Department apologizes for any inconvenience the road project may cause and will re-open the roadway once it is safe to travel. Any concerns should be directed to the Door County Highway Department at 746-2500.
