Door County Featured on Public Television

Door County has been the subject of several recent programs with a statewide following. Thursday, Wisconsin Public Television’s Wisconsin Foodie aired a new episode featuring Door County culinary treats. The program has spent time in Door County before with stops at Waseda Farms, The Wickman House, Seaquist Orchards, Jacksonport’s Cherry Fest, Wienke’s Farm Market, Washington Island, and Stone’s Throw Winery.
On Saturday, Discover Wisconsin will rebroadcast a food-oriented episode featuring Door County locations. Stephanie Klett, past host and current State Tourism Secretary, learns about fish boils and cherries. Check out WFRV, channel 5 in Green Bay at 6:30PM Saturday.
John McGivern of Around the Corner fame visited WDOR during his recent trek through Door County. The show focusing on Sturgeon Bay airs on Wisconsin Public Television Thursday at 7PM. One day earlier, McGivern will be back in Sturgeon Bay for a 5PM premier party at the Third Avenue Playhouse. Around the Corner with John McGivern also shot an episode in Door County in 2013.
