Door County 4-H Scrap Metal Drive

You can make a difference in the community & do some spring cleanup Saturday by participating in the Door County 4-H scrap metal drive. Scrap metal items will be accepted, from 7AM to 5PM, in the parking lot between the old highway shop & the senior resource center off 14th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. Used printer cartridges(inkjet or laser) will also be collected Saturday. If you have large quantities of metal items that you would like to donate, but don’t have a way of bringing them to the drop off site, contact the UW Extension office at 746-2260 to arrange a pickup time. Money raised through the scrap metal recycling will go to benefit the educational activities of the Door County 4-H program. Dawn Kuelz, 4-H Youth Development Educator, says a special thank you goes out to Sturgeon Bay Iron & Scrap Metal for its assistance & the donation of a collection dumpster.
