Destination Imagination Results

Area teams did very well in global competition of the program knows as “Destination Imagination” last week in Knoxville, Tennessee. A middle school team from Sevastopol was judged best in the world in the middle level competition in the “Twistorama” category. Fifty other teams competed.

The Sevastopol Elementary team finished in 7th place in the same category. Again, more than 50 teams were in the competition. Another Sevastopol Elementary team finished in 15th place in the “In Disguise” category and the elementary team from Gibraltar, competing in the “Real To Reel” category finished 24th in the world in the competition.

The “Still Thinking” team of 4th graders from Algoma Elementary School finished in 15th place in the elementary level of the “Change In Realitee” event. “Change In Realitee” was an improvisational challenge where the students had to create a 5 minute skit about life after a dramatic change and how the characters adapt. White t-shirts and markers are all that can be used for costumes, props and the set. Sixty teams competed in the elementary level of “Change In Realitee”.

Congratulations to the teams for their success at the Global “D-I” Competition and to all of the students and coaches who participated in Destination Imagination programming this year.
