Deadline Approaching for Open School Board Seat in Sturgeon Bay

Candidates interested in interviewing for a vacant seat on the Sturgeon Bay Board of Education are asked to contact Superintendent Dan Tjernagle in writing no later than 4PM on Monday, February 23rd. The seat was previously held by Doctor Joel Kitchens who resigned following his election to the state assembly in the first district. Plans call for the board of education to interview each interested candidate on Thursday, February 26th. Based on those interviews, the school board will appoint an individual to the position. That person would fill the seat until April of 2016. Questions can be referred to Superintendent Tjernagle or School Board President John Hauser.
