The Door County Economic Development Corporation is participating in the development of a couple of surveys intended to provide a snapshot of the business climate locally. Currently, the organization is developing information on any barriers to business growth in Door County. A 12 question anonymous survey is being used to gather input for the study whose details will be released to the public at a later date. According to the economic development corporation’s newsletter, the organization will work to eliminate any barriers uncovered by the survey.
A cooperative effort with the Door County Visitor Bureau will lead to the release of the third annual wages & salary survey of the Door County hospitality industry. The data collected will enable companies to better understand the labor market & keep employer compensation packages competitive. The survey, which also includes information on local food use by area establishments, is e-mailed to innkeeper, restaurant & retail members of the Door County Visitor Bureau.
