Wisconsin’s first lady, Tonette Walker, will join a panel of local citizens at a workshop Thursday intended to consider ways to enhance individual & community-based walking & walkability in Door County. Mrs. Walker will provide opening remarks at the event at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. She is well-known for her “Walk with Walker” initiative around the state. The “America Walks” workshop begins at 9AM & runs through 2:30PM. A free lunch will be provided. Those who can’t stay the entire day, are welcome to stay for as long as they can. To register, call the Door County YMCA at (920)743-4949.
