A Sturgeon Bay committee is asking for a little more information before it signs off on the proposed CVS pharmacy project in Sturgeon Bay. The city’s aesthetic design & site plan review board considered aspects of the pharmacy project during its meeting Monday afternoon. The developer is seeking to construct a 9000 square foot facility at 1407 Egg Harbor Road, at the current site of the Neighborhood Pub restaurant. Plans submitted to the city also include a drive-thru prescription pickup lane. Last Wednesday, the Sturgeon Bay Plan Commission approved a variance for the drive-thru. During Monday’s meeting, the aesthetic board asked for more definitive information on several segments of the project including materials used for the building’s facade, green space, concealing roof-top mechanical equipment, & storm water issues. Representatives of the developer are expected to return to the aesthetic design & site plan review board in the near future with updated plans. If all goes well, the board will vote on granting a certificate of appropriateness for the proposed pharmacy.
