A plaque dedication ceremony at the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay Monday at 11:30AM will honor the men and women of the US Coast Guard. Wisconsin Secretary of Veteran Affairs, John Scocos, Captain Amy Cocanour, Commander, Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan, and, Sturgeon Bay Mayor Thad Birmingham are expected to participate in the ceremony. In recognition of its 140-year relationship with the US military service organization, earlier this year Sturgeon Bay was named a Coast Guard City, the only city in Wisconsin with that designation.
