Changes on Egg Harbor Board

After nearly eight years on the Egg Harbor Village Board, Village President Nancy Fisher is stepping down. Fisher told the village board Monday that it was time for a change & she would not seek re-election. She has been village president since 2007. During her tenure, the village made considerable investments in real estate & upgraded its marina & park facilities. The highly popular free summer concert series expanded during her time on the job. Those interested in running for the position can begin seeking nomination signatures in a little more than two weeks(December 1st) in order to be on the ballot in April.

A seat on the Egg Harbor Village Board has been filled by way of board action. The board voted for Joe Smith, manager at Shipwrecked Restaurant & Brewery, to replace Barbara Cammack who resigned as trustee because she & her husband would make their winter home in Florida. Cammack’s term runs until April. Three individuals had expressed interest in the position. Smith is a member of the village’s plan commission.
