The Boys & Girls Club of Door County has announced that Julie Davis has been selected to be the organization’s next chief executive officer. Davis has been with the boys & girls club locally for two & a half years, beginning as a program director &, most recently, as director of operations. Outgoing CEO, Heather Powell, who is leaving to take a position in Washington state, said Davis is the right choice to keep things moving forward & will continue to make an impact in the community. Board President Inge Bacon said the board determined that the best person to lead the boys & girls club was already working for the organization. Davis will begin her new job on Friday. One of her first duties will be to train JJ Wirtanen, her replacement as program director. Davis said she is thrilled to have the opportunity to impact the youth of the Door County community.
