As a result of Sturgeon Bay City Council action Tuesday, signs will be going up on Jefferson Street, 3rd Avenue & Madison Avenue in Sturgeon Bay indicating that bicyclists must walk their bikes on the sidewalk in those areas. By way of his motion, Alderman Schlicht also indicated that an educational campaign would help to inform the public about the reasons for the signage. There are 17 bike racks downtown & it was suggested that the signs could be placed in those locations.
