State Representative Garey Bies announced over the weekend that he had filed more than the necessary signatures to seek re-election to the State Assembly. Bies said he had turned in nearly 800 signatures, or more than twice the number necessary to qualify for the ballot. Garey Bies is a Republican & has served in the assembly since the year 2000. Prior to that he spent 30 years working for the Door County Sheriff’s Department & is a veteran, having served in the US Navy before joining the Sheriff’s Department.
