The Brussels Lions Club has recently announced that the 59th annual Belgian Days will indeed be held this summer on July 11th and 12th, but due to restrictions during the pandemic this year it will be a “drive-through” event. Sadly, with current Health Department recommendations, no group gatherings will take place. That means no live bands, baseball, parade, games, or playground access. Organizers say they are “just as disappointed as you are.” What will be available, however, is a drive-through food and beverage service at the Brussels Town Park. There will be no “walk-in sales offered. All the usual Belgian Days favorites will be sold such as belgian trippe, booyah, hamburgers, hot dogs, and Belgian pies. They will also be selling soda, water, and Budweiser products by the can. Raffle tickets will also be sold for the chance at winning prizes, and free-will donations will of course be accepted. The drive-through sales will all be conducted by club members and volunteers through a “car hop” process where you will never need to leave your vehicle. This will all take place at the Brussels Town Park on Saturday July 11th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, and then on Sunday July 12th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Brussels Lions Club looks forward to your support so they can continue to support the many causes in the community.
