By & large, crews working on the Bayview Bridge rehabilitation project in Sturgeon Bay have been blessed with good weather & are making good progress on this segment of the four-month job. Preparation for deck repairs continued this week…jacks were installed at the south abutment in order to install new bearing pads & electricians continued the work of installing conduit & junction boxes. Next week, the plan calls for iron workers to start on steel repairs at the bascule leafs…painters will start sandblasting & painting the machinery rooms & bearing pads will be installed at the south abutment. In addition, electricians will continue to install conduit & junction boxes. The Bayview Bridge project, which began on March 4th, is expected to be completed by the 4th of July.
