This last May, the Nicolet National Bank closed three of their branch locations in Door County, one of those being their branch in Fish Creek. This closure factored into the recent decision by the Bank of Luxemburg to begin their plans of opening a new branch in Fish Creek. The Bank of Luxemburg currently has 8 branch locations, with the only Door County branch being in Sturgeon Bay. Their plan is to open this new branch in the Top of the Hill shops across the highway from the Door Community Auditorium, at the junction of County âFâ and 42. Bank President Tim Treml commented how the bank is already doing a branch’s worth of business in Northern Door, so this decision makes good sense. He also feels the new location will have a positive impact on the Northern Door community……
Treml says if everything goes as planned, this Fish Creek location should be open before the summer season.
