The Baileys Harbor Community Association has announced their holiday events for this summer’s Independence Day. On the Sunday of July 4th, they will be closing Highway 57 through town from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. Both Saturday and Sunday they will have the arts and crafts market. There will be a pancake breakfast, live music, food & drinks, lawn games, outdoor pop-up shops, a chalk mural contest, face painting, food trucks, a vintage car display, and selfie stations. Then at dusk that Sunday evening will be the fireworks show. Sadly, their popular Fourth of July parade will not happen this year out of an abundance of caution with COVID-19, but they are looking forward to having the parade return next year.
