Shortly after 3AM Friday, the Kewaunee Police Department was notified of an armed robbery in downtown Kewaunee. A black female, about 5’4″ and of stocky build knocked on the door at the Bucket Bar and Grill. She asked for help and when the owner opened the door, a second person, described as a thin black male, about 5’9″, wearing a blue handkerchief over his face, rushed in pointing a black pistol at the owner. The suspects got away with about $650. The owner said he had seen a newer maroon compact 4-door car drive past the place at least twice before the robbery. Kewaunee Police Chief Frank Salentine is asking anybody who may have seen anything suspicious, or out of the ordinary Thursday night or early Friday to please contact the department at 920-388-5010.
