The number of visitors to the Quiet Woods South Camping Resort and Southern Door’s Haunted Mansion is a clear indicator on why the haunted house received the distinction of being named Wisconsin’s favorite northeast region haunted attraction. A total of 4,487 patrons visited the haunted trail, corn maze, bus ride and mansion over its eight day run in October. That’s seven short of the all-time record. Final numbers aren’t available, but it appears that the 2014 effort brought in close to $36,000 before expenses. That’s good news for the nearly two dozen recipients that receive funding from the event, including music, the arts, athletics, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the FFA, to name a few.
