Algoma’s Night Out

The Algoma Police Department & the Algoma Neighborhood Watch invite residents of Algoma to join their friends & neighbors Tuesday night at Algoma’s 7th annual night out against crime & violence. The event will be held from 6PM to 8PM at Legion Park.

Residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, & spend the evening in the park with neighbors & police. There’s free food, fun for kids, & the opportunity to learn from & interact with local, county, state, & federal emergency response agencies. The night will take on a tailgate theme in support of local athletic programs. The popular dunk tank returns again this year with local law enforcement to be dunked. A fly by from the Eagle III medical/rescue helicopter is also scheduled.

Algoma’s night out, Tuesday night at Legion Park is free, but those attending are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to local food pantries. Old cell phones & eye glasses will also be collected. Algoma’s night out is Tuesday, July 26 at Legion Park.
