Aleson Tabbed To Be New Parks Director

The Door County Board will receive a recommendation on a new County Parks and Airport Director when it meets in regular session Tuesday morning at the Government Center in Sturgeon Bay. Thirty-seven year-old Erik Aleson of Peshtigo has been tabbed to fill the position left vacant with the death of George Pinney last September. Pinney had been County Parks Director for 18 years.

Aleson is currently Assistant Parks Administrator for Marinette County and holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin/Stevens Point. He says he is excited to have been given the opportunity to administer the Door County Parks System if approved. And, if all goes well, the Aleson family will relocate to Door County in the near future.
