4th Avenue Project Progresses in Sturgeon Bay

A new week of work on the 4th Avenue reconstruction project in downtown Sturgeon Bay is expected to provide activity on several fronts. City engineer Tony Depies says the schedule calls for removal of the sidewalk from Louisiana to Michigan Street & crushing it. Final grading & placement of the crushed pavement will be completed to allow for the installation of curb & gutter. Sidewalks will be installed after the curb work & before the road is completely closed for the installation of the concrete pavement. While the road work is progressing, the utility crew will move to the alley & install the sanitary & storm sewers, completing the underground work by May 4th. With favorable weather, the project is on track to be completed by the 4th of July.
