Sturgeon Bay’s Miller Art Museum is now presenting their 47th Annual Salon of Door County High School Art Exhibition. This year, the exhibition features 83 Door County high school students from all 5 peninsula schools with nearly 100 works of art from the 2020-2021 academic year. Due to safety concerns with COVID-19, the exhibition will be available to the public through the museum’s website where it can be viewed virtually. Everyone is invited to view that at “millerartmuseum.org”. This year’s recipients of the $100 award of excellence include Audrey Viste of Gibraltar, Adolfo Arvizu of Sturgeon Bay,Riel Phillips of Sevastopol, and Emily Purdy of Southern Door. Also a $50 cash prize will go to the honorable mention award recipients Sage Krause of Gibraltar, Makayla Ash of Sturgeon Bay, Tara Dejardin of Washington Island, Claudia Mancia of Sevastopol, and Henry Holt of Southern Door. In lieu of the celebratory opening reception and awards ceremony, the public may access the announcement of this year’s award winners within the virtual exhibition.
