The Door County Sheriff’s office reports there was an air tank explosion in the Town of Egg Harbor Saturday morning with one deceased individual discovered near the explosion site. Shortly before 7:45AM, the sheriff’s office was notified of the blast which occurred at the Harbor Village Resort and Campground in Carlsville. The first responding deputy on the scene discovered a storage building partially dismantled from the blast and the deceased individual just outside the building. Also responding to the incident were the Egg Harbor Fire Department, Egg Harbor E.M.R.’s, and additional members of the Door County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reports that no further information is available at this time, as the incident remains under investigation. We will report more on this Saturday morning air tank explosion in Carlsville as more information is officially released.
