The Algoma girls basketball team beat Gibraltar, 48-37, on Monday Night for the sixth straight win. The Wolves (5-2, 8-5) led 27-16 late in the first half only to have the Vikings go on a 12-0 run that spanned both halves and eventually a 28-27 lead with 14:50 to play. Their would be six lead changes in the second half before the Wolves took control of the game with a 17-5 run. Sierra Slaby scored a game high 17 points for the Wolves and Therese Gerdmann added 11 off the bench. The Vikings (4-4, 6-6) had their four game winning streak come to and end and were led in scoring by Makala Gorham and Andie Schar with 10 points each.
