NWS Confirms Tornado on Washington Island

Last week’s destructive thunderstorm on the evening of Tuesday, May 21st caused damage throughout Door County, and now the National Weather Service has confirmed that their further analyzed data confirms a tornado occurred on Washington Island just after 10:30PM that night. Storm Spotter Training in Door County

Door County Emergency Management has announced that the National Weather Service will provide storm spotter training in Door County in 2019. The Skywarn Storm Spotter Program was created by the National Weather Service to aid them in their goal of getting real time updates about weather events.
