Friends of Peninsula Park Working Towards New Playground
Because of deterioration from many years of use, the old playground equipment at Peninsula State Park’s Nicolet Beach was removed. Now, the “Friends of Peninsula State Park” are raising funds to help purchase some newer modern equipment to replace the old, and they have set their fundraising goal at $80,000. Tuesday the wisconsin DNR announced some recent changes at Peninsula State Park, including property upgrades, new facilities and infrastructure, and the anticipated reopening of popular property amenities.
