The Algoma softball team beat Sevastopol, 4-1, to win a WIAA Division 4 regional championship at Peterson Park on Thursday. The Wolves scored on 4 runs on four hits in the third inning. After one out singles from Madison Schneider and Jadyn Nellis, Brooke Mattson lined a two run double and Macie Zimmerman and Nora Krause also drove in runs in the rally. Zimmerman had a no hitter until Addison Schauske hit a solo home run in the 7th inning. It’s the seventh regional title in the last eight years for the Wolves. Algoma will play at Mishicot on Tuesday.
