Wolves Rely on Ground Attack

Algoma rallied from an early touchdown deficit to beat Auburndale 22-15 in a WIAA Division 6 playoff opener at Southern Door on Friday Night.  The Apaches held a 7-0 lead when Ben Sealey scored early in the 2nd quarter but the Wolves missed the PAT.  Alec Wery recovered a fumble with 2:25 to play in the half and Sealey gave Algoma their first lead with :41 seconds to play in the half with his 2nd one yard td run of the half.  Sam Koss added a third quarter 10 yard td run as the Wolves built a 22-7 lead.  It was 22-15 when Auburndale turned the ball over on downs with about a minute to play.  Algoma (9-0) will play Iola-Scandinavia at Southern Door.  Game time will be announced by the WIAA.
