The Gibraltar baseball stayed undefeated on Monday with a 3-2 win over Sevastopol at Billerbeck Field in Fish Creek. Nick Kita’s one out double scored Austin Bauldry with the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Sevastopol rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the top of the 6th inning on an RBI single by Cawley Hubner. Brody Paschke scored on the play but Sawyer Johnson threw out Austin Krohn at home to end the inning.
Matt Hecht gets the win in relief of Tanner Biwer for the Vikings (3-0, 4-0) while Kita and Will Gonzalez had two hits. Alan Karas took the loss for the Pioneers (1-2, 1-2) while Hubner had two hits.
Sturgeon Bay beat Southern Door 11-0. Riley Cordier fired a one-hitter for the Clippers (3-0, 4-0) while Dylan Taylor had the only hit for the Ealges (0-3, 0-4).
Softball
Southern Door beat Sturgeon Bay 12-2 at PBI Field. McKayla Dantoin gets the win and struck out 9. Rachel Andres and Courtney Van Hout had three hits and Bailey Baudhuin added two hits for the Eagles. Sammi Van Dreese led the Clippers with two hits.
Sevastopol beat Gibraltar 11-1 at Institute.
