Gibraltar beat Reedsville 10-4 to win a WIAA Division 3 baseball regional title in Reedsville on Friday. The Vikings took the lead in the opening inning as Austin Bauldry and Conner Brennan had 2-out RBI base hits. After the Panthers tied the game in the 3rd inning, Gibraltar took the lead for good on an Alex Janisse infield single that scored Brennan and added two more runs for a 5-2 lead by the time the top of the 4th inning was over. Clinging to a 5-4 lead after 6 innings, Gibraltar busted the game open with five runs in the 7th inning. Kyle Keehan finished 4X4 while Nick Kita and Austin Bauldry had 3 hits each and Connor Brennan added 2 hits. Kita pitched the first six innings for the win. Gibraltar (10-11) will play Brookfield Academy (17-5) at Ripon College at 10AM on Tuesday and we’ll have the broadcast on 93.9FM / wdor.com
