Gibraltar won a WIAA Division 3 Regional at Riverside Golf Club in Menominee, MI on Tuesday. The Vikings shot a 370, four strokes better than host Saint Thomas Aquinas. Gibraltar was led by Matt Anderson with an 86, Sam Higgenbotham shot an 89, Grant Heiman a 96 and Ethan Woulette carded a 99. Sevastopol freshman Eric Ott (93) also qualified for Sectionals next Wednesday at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Hortonville.
Division 2
Sturgeon Bay finished two shots behind Wrightstown for a 2nd place finish at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg on Tuesday. Larry Woldt shot a team best 81 to lead the Clippers while James Konarzewski and Sean Hogan each shot a 90 and Adam Hauser finished with a 95. Luxemburg-Casco won a tiebreaker over Little Chute to advance. The Spartans were led by Michael Spengler (88), Jacob Wotruba (91), Spencer Kanz (94) and Kelin Charles (95). Sturgeon Bay, Luxembur-Casco, Wrightstown and Roncalli will compete at Crystal Springs Golf Course at the Seymour Sectional next Tuesday.
