Sturgeon Bay’s Sierra Townsend , a freshman on the UW-Milwaukee women’s swimming team, has won the Horizon League Swimmer of the Week award.
Townsend won every event she competed in a dual meet at Carthage College on Saturday. She won both the 50 and 100 Freestyle events and anchored the 400 Medley Relay team.
Sierra, the daughter of Rick and Natalie Townsend, was a member of Sturgeon Bay’s State title team of 2009 and runner-up team in 2010.
