There were four first time winners as Rob Waechter, Jr (Stock Cars) Nathan Lisowe (4 cylinder bombers) Jeff Vlies (Sport Mods) and Ed Anschutz (Unified Dirt Street Stocks) won their feature race at The Hill Raceway on Saturday Night in Sturgeon Bay.
The night also featured the induction of the class of 2022 into the track’s Hall of Fame. The inductees were Door County’s first racing star, Roger “Red” Isaacson (posthumously), Ray LeMieux, an early track champ and the eldest son of HOFer Clyde LeMieux, Sr, champion and multi-division feature winner Kevin Sternard, who joined his father Les in the Hall, and three time Stock Champ Craig Paque.
The Hill’s next event is slated for Saturday night, July 9th. The Raceway’s four regular divisions will be in action, along with the Street Stocks turn in the Busch Shootout spotlight.
