Sturgeon Bay Soccer At State

Sturgeon Bay (18-6-1) will take on University School of Milwaukee (18-2-3) in a Division 4 state semifinal at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee at Noon today.  This is the Clippers third appearance at state.  In a Division 3 semifinal in 2010, Sturgeon Bay lost to The Prairie School, 2-0.  In a 2011 Division 2 semifinal, the Clippers lost to Mount Horeb, 2-0.  Sturgeon Bay head coach Todd Maas is hoping for a better result this time around…

Today’s winner will take on the winner of the other Division 4 state semifinal.  That features Barron (12-7-2) and The Prairie School (15-4-3).  That semifinal begins at 2 PM today.  The Division 4 state championship is match is scheduled for 10 AM Saturday.

Division 3:
Green Bay Notre Dame (20-3-4) vs. Pewaukee (20-0-3) – 5 PM Thursday
Ashland (25-1) vs. McFarland (19-6-1) – 7 PM Thursday
State Championship – 12 PM Saturday

Division 2:
Cedarburg (14-4-2) vs. Whitefish Bay (17-5) – 12 PM Friday
Marshfield (19-4-3) vs. Oregon (15-3-2) – 2 PM Friday
State Championship – 3 PM Saturday

Division 1:
Arrowhead (19-0-2) vs. Muskego (21-4-1) – 5 PM Friday
Green Bay Preble (22-3-1) vs. Madison West (18-4-1) – 7 PM Friday
State Championship – 5 PM Saturday
