Sturgeon Bay was eliminated from the 9 year old State Tournament in Dodgeville after two losses on Friday. Sturgeon Bay suffered a 9-5 loss to Janesville in 7 innings. Jackson Lindemann had 2 hits and Griffin Reinhardt tripled. Cross Plains beat Sturgeon Bay 6-5. Josh Pfleiger, Ryan Claflin and Jake Schneider all had 2 hits. The Sturgeon Bay 9’s finished 2-2.
The 10’s are also done with their tournament. Despite having the #2 seed after pool play, Sturgeon Bay suffered an 11-6 loss to Stevens Point. Sturgeon Bay finished 3-1 at the 10 year old State Tournament in Darlington.
