The Sturgeon Bay boys 8th grade basketball team placed third this weekend at the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament in Stevens Point. In pool play, the Clippers beat Kettle Moraine Lutheran 42-23 and lost 51-48 to Freedom. In the round of 16, Sturgeon Bay beat Marshall 55-52 in overtime and beat Arcadia 47-23 to advance to the semi-finals. On Sunday, Sturgeon Bay lost to G-E-T 50-35 before beating Two Rivers 46-34 for third place.
