Kewaunee will play in the WIAA State Baseball Tournament for the first time in school history when they take on Fennimore in a Division 3 state semifinal at 2:30 on Tuesday at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton. The Storm (17-5) are champions of the Packerland Conference and beat Chilton and Wittenberg-Birnamwood at the Chilton Sectional last Tuesday. Brett Paulsen (8-1) leads the pitching staff and also carries a .411 average with 20 RBI’s while Brady Pribek and Alec Carlson have 15 RBI’s on the season. The Golden Eagles (25-3) are champions of the SWAL and beat Cuba City and Westby at the Osseo-Fairchild Sectional. Casey Dresen, Ethan Sheckler and Tyson Starkey are their top pitchers and all have an average above .400 while Dresen and Scheckler have a team leading 24 RBI’s.
