SD Girls, SB Boys Win on Monday

The Southern Door girls basketball team used a 26-point 4th quarter to surge past Sturgeon Bay 62-56 on Monday Night in Sturgeon Bay.  The Eagles were outscored 17-4 in the first quarter but trailed only 24-21 at the half.  The Clippers would build the lead back to double figures but Southern Door would rally one last time for the win.  The Eagles made 16 of 22 free throws in the 4th quarter for the emotional win.  Bailey Hanson scored 15 of her game high 21 points in the first half while freshman Alexa Soto scored all 13 of her points in the second half.  Bailey Baudhuin added 11 in the win.  Sturgeon Bay was led by Hailey Benesh with 14 points and Caralyn Mickey chipped in 11 points.

Boys Scoreboard
Sturgeon Bay opened the game on a 14-0 run in the first 7 minutes of the game on their way to a 65-17 win over Sevastopol on Monday.  The Clippers led 33-8 at the half and scored the first 17 points of the second half on their way to a dominating win over the Pioneers.  Riley Cordier scored a game high 23 points for Sturgeon Bay.
